the chicest place of all

tucked away in Muskoka (specific location is my little secret) is the most romantic, beautiful place (arguably, in the whole world)

its even chicer when you've just arrived by bike, with a basket of freshly-picked strawberries

anything similar to a duck decoy

not chic
and completely unnecessary.

dichotomy.

Trying to take a little appreciation of the sunshine in Confederation Park, I made dutiful observations that ruined what may otherwise have been a very chic lunch.

According to Ottawa urban legend, the fountain that resides in the park was donated from England, where it originally sat in Trafalgar Square in London. After a Londoner decided to off himself in the fountain, complaints were made that aforementioned fountain was haunted.

Hand-me-down fountains are not chic;

even less so is bathing in such fountains when you're grown.

being literate is chic. part 2.

kobo has a free app for iphone. pride and prejudice during smoke breaks.
tv seems to be getting better and better, a renaissance of media.

mad men seems to have inspired a lot, especially fashion: the 60s were chic.

doing anything but your own business..

while on the toilet,
not excluding,

talking on the phone.
brushing your teeth.
drinking.

is not chic.

Mondays?

who says Mondays can't be chic?

only acceptable in the summer.

some moments in life are simply chic.

nothing more, nothing less.

the "close-up" music video is chic

the kee

While living in Muskoka, i've been introduced to a well known, popular establishment called The Kee to Bala. Every Monday night, hundreds of deprived-20 something-year-olds pile into yellow school buses and are carted to 'downtown Bala'. With a combination of plastic cups and themed nights (needless to say) I ventured into the world of not chic. That being said, I will reluctantly admit ... I had fun. Irony strikes again.

I'm Waldo ... can you spot me?

happiness is chic
