Trying to take a little appreciation of the sunshine in Confederation Park, I made dutiful observations that ruined what may otherwise have been a very chic lunch.
According to Ottawa urban legend, the fountain that resides in the park was donated from England, where it originally sat in Trafalgar Square in London. After a Londoner decided to off himself in the fountain, complaints were made that aforementioned fountain was haunted.
Hand-me-down fountains are not chic;
even less so is bathing in such fountains when you're grown.
